The Dublin Racing Festival winner Quamino could bid to land another good prize at Leopardstown on Sunday when he lines up in the Grade B TRI Equestrian Handicap Chase.

The Paul Nolan-trained six-year-old is under consideration for Sunday’s €50,000 feature which will represent his first appearance since he landed the valuable Goffs Handicap Chase over an extended two miles at Leopardstown at the start of the month.

"Quamino has options and I will be chatting with his owner in the next couple of days but I couldn't be happier with him since he won his race at Leopardstown," Nolan reported.

"The ground wouldn't be an issue for him and he enjoyed his biggest success at Leopardstown earlier in the month. This could work out a nice race to run him in and we'll make a call later in the week as he is in a few races at Cheltenham too."

A total of 13 horses are engaged for a race that has produced two National winners in the last year. The 2018 hero Spider Web went on to land October’s Munster National while back in sixth that day was the subsequent Irish Grand National hero General Principle.

Last season’s Leopardstown Chase winner Last Goodbye is a potential rival for Quamino as is this season’s Troytown Chase second Mr Diablo who won this race in 2017. Gordon Elliott’s team could include Monatomic who will be looking to build on his second to Poker Party in a valuable handicap chase last weekend.

Last Goodbye's trainer Liz Doyle said: "Last Goodbye seems to like small fields and he has ran well around Leopardstown before so we'll have a look at Sunday."

Elsewhere on the card, Liz Doyle supplies an intriguing runner in the Cheltenham bumper fancy Barnes Des Mottes who will be looking to build on a winning debut at Naas several weeks ago.

The M L Bloodstock-owned gelding looked a cracking prospect that day and is the only previous winner amongst ten entries for the TRI Superstore (Pro-Am) INH Flat Race.

"Barnes Des Mottes is in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham but no decision has been made yet so we have put him in the race on Sunday at Leopardstown to take a look. He has come out of Naas in amazing form, he really couldn't have come out of the race any better which is really pleasing," Doyle added.

Leopardstown’s penultimate National Hunt fixture of the season begins with the Foxrock Cup Hurdle. Back in 1965 the Foxrock Cup was the last race that Foinavon won before he recorded that never to be forgotten success in the 1967 Grand National at Liverpool.

The latest edition of the Foxrock Cup boasts a Grand National winner of its own in the Gordon Elliott-trained Jury Duty who could make his first appearance since landing the American Grand National at Far Hills in October.
