GREG Broderick’s Ballypatrick Stables extended their enterprise this week when purchasing the 217-acre residential farm at Fortwilliam House, in Borrisoleigh, Co Tipperary, for €2.2 million at public auction.

The biggest piece of land offered for sale in Tipperary so far this year, the dry-stock farm was purchased by the Thurles-based show jumper in its entire, which includes the beautiful old Fortwilliam House, a protected structure dating back to the 1920s, and extending to over 6,000 square feet with no less than 22 rooms.
