12.20 IRISH STALLION FARMS EBF MAIDEN 6F
Betsey Trotter struggled when asked to tackle Group 3 company at the Curragh in August but her efforts either side of that run were most encouraging. The fact her trainer felt she was good enough to compete in a blacktype race is surely significant and this particular maiden doesn’t look the strongest. It will be disappointing if she can’t get her head in front now.
Bronze Age is the obvious alternative having finished second on her two most recent starts. Similar to the selection, she has plenty of previous experience on which to call upon and will be able to use this to her advantage here. Granted normal progression from her last run, she should be involved in the finish.
Selection: BETSEY TROTTER
Next best: Bronze Age
12.50 WELCOME TO NAAS RACECOURSE HANDICAP 5F
Accalia can be yet another winner for champion elect Colin Keane. Although well beaten on heavy ground at Fairyhouse last time, the filly had previously hinted at a return to form when second at Navan. She will be much more at home on this straight track and any further drying will also suit as she is better on a less testing surface. The fact that Keane retains the ride is also a positive.
Doonard Prince has been a great servant to connections over the years and continues to run well in these sprint handicaps. His young rider is fantastic value for his claim and they have struck up a winning partnership. The eight-year-old should be staying on better than most on the climb to the finishing post.
Selection: ACCALIA
Next best: Doonard Prince

Still Standing improved on his debut effort when staying on nicely to be nearest at the finish at Leopardstown last weekend. That particular maiden could turn out to be above average as the winner was highly touted beforehand. Granted further improvement, it isn’t difficult to envisage the Harrington horse playing a major role here.
Sir Erec represents leading connections so has to be watched closely in a race that won’t take much winning. As the lone Ballydoyle runner in the race he is almost certainly thought capable of landing the spoils.
Selection: STILL STANDING
Next best: Sir Erec

Powersville, who has run well on both visits to this track, can take this race off topweight. The form of his win over 6f in September has been well advertised by the second and third placed horses since. Last time out he stayed on strongly in a competitive affair, suggesting that he has no issues with this trip.
Its My Turn hinted at better to come when a fast finishing second at Leopardstown last weekend. She looks a filly with more to offer and has to be a serious threat to all. However, her bare form doesn’t match up to the Mullins runner so she may have to settle for second once again.
Selection: POWERSVILLE

Inscribe created a favourable impression when winning nicely at Gowran Park last month so has to be followed here. The gelding stayed on strongly on that occasion so should appreciate the step up in trip now. Underfoot conditions are unlikely to cause any problems and he can crown a fantastic campaign for Ger Lyons and Colin Keane.
The Last Indian, the mount of Pat Smullen, has been a revelation for her trainer all season. She is adaptable from a mile to 12f and should enjoy this intermediate distance. The faster they go the better her chance as she will be rattling home late on.
Selection: INSCRIBE

3.00 NAAS NOVEMBER HANDICAP (PREMIER HANDICAP)1M6F
Landsman is a sporting selection to reverse recent form with those that finished ahead of him in the October Handicap. On that occasion, Tony Martin’s charge was drawn out wide and could never get a prominent position. However, he stayed on really nicely up the straight to be nearest at the finish. With a further 2f to travel now, he should be bang there.
October Handicap winner Wonder Laish had plenty up his sleeve when scoring at Leopardstown so has to be respected. The fact that he was well supported in the betting market also suggests that his shrewd handler knew that he had something in hand. The assessor may not have got hold of him just yet.
Selection: LANDSMAN
Next best: Wonder Laish
3.30 JUMPS RACING RETURNS TO NAAS NOVEMBER 11TH MAIDEN 1M4F
Maid In Manhattan stepped up on all previous form when an eyecatching fourth over a mile at Leopardstown last time. The filly started at 66/1 on that occasion but is likely to be much shorter this time. She stayed on strongly to be nearest at the finish, suggesting that the extra half-mile will be a huge benefit to her chances.
Great Trango is the highest rated runner in the field and has the services of Pat Smullen. He has already been placed twice on the flat and first time blinkers could see further improvement now.
Selection: MAID IN MANHATTAN
Next best: Great Trango

Mustajeer is taken to give the Lyons/Keane team a fairytale end to what has been an incredible campaign. The four-year-old was a good winner at this track last time, looking better the further he went. Though he needs to step up again taking on higher class opposition, one could not help but be taken by the manner of his victory.
Laws Of Spin could never get competitive at Newmarket in the Cesarewitch and is better judged on his win at Leopardstown on his previous start. A reproduction of that performance would probably be good enough to win this contest. However, he will need to bounce back from that poor run and the effects of travelling.
Selection: MUSTAJEER
Next best: Laws Of Spin
