MEATH's Michael McNally won the Horse Sport Ireland CCI4*-S at Millstreet International Horse Trials today (Sunday).

Michael McNally and the Irish Sport Horse Eclipto recorded an excellent win in this weekend’s Horse Sport Ireland CCI4*-S, one of a host of competitions that took place at an action-packed Millstreet International Horse Trials, Green Glens, Co Cork.

Lying in third place heading into the final cross-country phase, McNally was the only rider to come home inside the time to finish on a final score of 28.3 to take victory.

New Zealand’s Jonelle Price finished as runner-up with McClaren, while she also took third place with Faerie Dianimo. Cathal Daniels was next best of the Irish in fourth with LEB Lias Jewel (ISH).

Victory for Price

In the Horse Sport Ireland CCI4*-L New Zealand’s Tim Price took victory with Falco, while Lucy Lata finished best of the Irish in fifth with DHI Broadway.

Horse Sport Ireland also sponsored the CCI3*-L which was won Sweden’s Ludwig Svennerstal with Vivero. The Horse Sport Ireland CCI2*-L was won by Dutch rider Rachel Rendle with Ballyvally Bay (ISH).
