NO stranger to success in the young horse arena at Millstreet, Mikey Pender was back in the ribbons as he took the win in the Millstreet Ruby Five-Year-Old Grand Prix Final. Riding his own Madges Lane Caprice, he delivered a clear in the winning time of 39.98 seconds.

In total 34 went to post and of those, eight delivered double clears. Jack Ryan and Jadore were fractions behind when clocking 40.17, ahead of Kate Derwin and Fernhill Check Your Pocket in 41.71. Slotting into fourth were Liam O’Meara and The Last Samurai, clear in 42.13, ahead of Kellie Allen and Eclat, clear in 42.94. Sixth place belonged to John Mulligan and Katrina’s Boy, clear in 42.98.
