Mark Walsh could return to action this weekend after he suffered concussion from a fall on the opening day of the Leopardstown Christmas Festival.

Walsh was aboard Riviera Sun for his employer, JP McManus, when the Henry de Bromhead-trained gelding came to grief at the second-last fence in a handicap chase that went the way of Lake Takapuna.

McManus' racing manager Frank Berry said: "He has to do his concussion test this week, on Thursday, I think, and hopefully that'll go well.

"He got a heavy fall and he was lucky to be able to walk away from it."
