AS he was once owned and trained by the very versatile Daisy Duggan, Good Egg could have gone eventing but instead the 2003 Exit To Nowhere gelding has returned to the point-to-point field, where he started under Duggan’s late father Peter eight years ago, but now in England.

Bred by the Dorans at their Parkville Stud in Wexford out of the Be My Native mare Full Of Surprises, Good Egg is still owned by Harry and Lorna Fowler for whom, along with Olivia Frost, he has raced for the past few seasons. On his most recent racecourse start he finished 16th of 29 in the hunters’ chase at Aintree in April, his last win of three on the track coming in handicap company at Navan in December 2013.
