WE’RE heading down to the sunny south-east for this week’s selection of past meetings and the Killinick Harriers’ spring fixture at Lingstown which, in 1977, took place on Sunday, February 10th.

There were just five races that afternoon when the 14-runner open maiden was won by the legendary Mrs C.D. (Charmian) Hill on her own Goughan Barra who saw off the only other finisher, Bert’s Bar, by a distance.
