THERE were nine Irish-bred winners on the opening day of the 2016/17 pointing campaign in Britain last Sunday including Porlock Bay who landed the concluding intermediate race at Black Forest Lodge in the colours of his trainer, At The Races presenter Luke Harvey.

Wearing his customary brushing boots and ridden by Darren Edwards, the nine-year-old Dr Massini gelding was scoring for the third time between the flags when beating fellow Irish-breds Mister Serious (ex Donnchadh Doyle) and Emgee by seven lengths and 12 lengths.
