Irish Champions Weekend saw winners difficult to come by and it was the Petingo Handicap that saw Tony O'Hehir and Gary O'Brien come up with a winner in 11/2 shot Current Option. The win moved Tony up into the top 10.

Listowel provided the other two winners with the opener going to short-priced favourite Winner Takes Itall (8/11) selected by Gary Carson and Daragh Ó Conchúir. Sandfly (15/8) for Thomas Weekes was the only other winner.
