DERRY’s Jordan Coyle had a phenomenal winning run towards the end of the summer and was back in the winner’s enclosure at the three-star show in Tyron, North Carolina, last week when landing the $37,000 EquiSafe Global Power and Speed Stakes.

Riding Elan Farm’s 13-year-old gelding Picador (Lupicor x Concorde), Coyle stopped the clock in 25.14 seconds to earn just over $12,000. Fraction’s behind was Mexico’s Eugenio Garza and Caracas, who finished in 25.43 seconds, while Kristen Vanderveen (USA) took third aboard Bull Run’s Almighty, stopping the clock in 26.079 seconds.
