MAYO’S Cameron Hanley finished third in the four-star Hagan Grand Prix last Sunday. Riding the nine-year-old gelding Quirex, Hanley was one of six double clear rounds and collected €11,250 for his efforts.

Some 48 combinations started over the difficult 1.50m track and 10 kept a clean sheet, including Hanley and Mayo’s Michael G Duffy. Two four faulters from round one also came forward for the 12-horse jump-off.
