DANIEL Coyle beat compatriot and former mentor Conor Swail into second place in the 1.50m jump-off class at the five-star Spruce Meadows in Calgary, Canada, last Thursday.

Canada’s Michel Vaillancourt designed the 1.50m for 62 starters and 18 of those made it through to the jump-off. Coyle’s time of 36.67 seconds when first into the arena with Lothlorien Farm’s Cita was good enough to beat the nine other clear rounds against the clock.
