RACE 1: SILVERMINE BAY HANDICAP

#2 Sky Treasure mixes his form but is capable on his day with the right run. His recent trackwork has been good and perhaps he’s worth a bet here, especially if the market overreacts to poor efforts at his last two starts. #7 Corre Rapido has plenty of talent but has just struggled to put it together. Richard Gibson appears to have unlocked the key to him and he’s capable of breaking through off his current mark. #3 Rochford ran okay at his first Class 5 start and is capable of improving once more. #9 Sparkling Talent is worth including at his first dirt start.

RACE 2: PUI O HANDICAP

#4 Cloud Nine, a son of American stallion sensation Tapit, has failed in two starts on dirt. However, he has not had races to suit in his outings on the surface. If he can get somewhere near the front, he’s one to watch. #1 Let Us Win has been a major disappointment. However, he has a win in him with the right run. It could be in this spot. #10 Megatron ran well on the surface last time out and he shapes as a contender if he can get cover from gate 11. #8 Good Fit can improve sharply.

RACE 3: HAP MUN BAY HANDICAP

#7 Elite Spirit has been racing well for the most part. He’s got a better draw than most of his starts recently. If he can jump cleanly, he’s in the right form to be able to break through. #2 Amazing Moment drops back into Class 4 for the first time since a course and distance win in September. Zac Purton, his winning rider that day, returns to his back and he is a major threat. #1 Borntoachieve has been out of form but is worthy of consideration into Class 4 for the first time. #8 Mutual Joy is a place chance.

RACE 4: HAP MUN BAY HANDICAP

#1 Giddy Giddy hasn’t been able to get across to lead at his two runs back in Class 4 but he’s still stuck on well. He should be able to get somewhere near the speed here and he’ll be hard to beat here. #3 Majestic Endeavour has his first dirt start. As the son of a dirt winner, he could create interest on this surface. #11 Flying Godspell is racing honestly and he can’t be overlooked. #7 Forever Posh hasn’t raced since December but he was a dirt winner last season. This might be too short for him but, fresh, he’s a chance.

RACE 5: KIU TSUI HANDICAP

#9 Master Bernini took off early and just couldn’t hold off Remarkable last time out. There’s no horse like Remarkable in here and he has every chance to go one better. #1 Gran Master has been disappointing this season but back into Class 4 gives him a chance to improve drastically. #10 Diamond Friends has won three times in Class 5 over this course and distance this season. From a good gate, he’s able to figure once more. #8 Gouten Of Garo isn’t the worst hope here with a switch to the dirt.

RACE 6: CAFETERIA HANDICAP

#2 Almababy gets into an extended-band Class 3, a grade where he has three wins and a second from six starts. He looks well-placed in this spot and, with even luck, he will be hard to hold out. #5 Sunny Win returns to the races for the first time since January. He looked to be in good nick in a course and distance barrier trial recently, finishing second to Pakistan Star, and he deserves respect fresh. #9 Nuclear Power has been performing well over the 1650m on this surface and perhaps the drop to 1200m could see him break through. #7 Radiant Steed was terrible last time out but he’d been good before that, including a very nice effort behind subsequent Group 1 winner Ivictory, and he shapes as a chance.

RACE 7: CHEUNG SHA HANDICAP

#8 Goldie Flanker has an incredible turn of foot on his day, which he showed last time out with a soft victory. He should be able to win in Class 3, even if he is inflexible in how he needs races to be run, and he goes on top. #12 Speedy King gets a significant jockey upgrade here. He’s a contender. #9 Hearts Keeper is always a chance on this surface with seven wins and 14 placings from 34 attempts at the course and distance. He has never won in this class but he is capable of finishing around the mark. #2 Storm Signal has an awkward draw but he can feature under Zac Purton.

RACE 8: CLEAR WATER BAY HANDICAP

#4 Glorious Artist ran a track record over 1800m on this surface last time out. He only has to carry a five-point penalty and, with the in-form Zac Purton jumping aboard, he’s the one to beat in this spot. #11 Remarkable gets up into Class 3 for the first time. He’s really relished this surface and with no weight on his back, he’s a major player. #6 Hang's Decision should have finished closer two back over this course and distance before a good run over the 1400m on turf that same week. He’s nearing a win. #13 Travel First can finish in the placings.
