MARK Johnston continues in tremendous form, as does Silvestre de Sousa, and the combination took the Group 2 Qatar Vintage Stakes with the unbeaten Dark Vision, who came from last to first to win most impressively.

Shuffled back to share last place after interference, Dark Vision also failed to find a clear run two furlongs out as Dunkerron kicked for home but another sustained effort saw him take control and score by just under two lengths. Confiding was back in third, followed by Getchagetchagetcha and Aidan O’Brien’s Van Beethoven, far from disgraced under his 3lb penalty. The winner, a Dream Ahead colt, is unbeaten after three outings and was stepping up to seven furlongs.
