THERE will not be a more extraordinary performance this season than the one put up by Richard Hannon’s 100/30 favourite Billesdon Brook in the ultra-competitive Telegraph Nursery over seven furlongs at Goodwood on Thursday.

A tall filly by Champs Elysees, and understandably backed on the strength of her good third in listed company, she seemed hopelessly trapped on the rails a furlong and a half out and was bumped and banged as she tried for a run under Sean Levey.
