THE ninth Goresbridge Go For Gold select sale of event horses takes place on Monday and Tuesday week, November 12th and 13th, when 60 lots are due to be showcased at Barnadown before coming under the hammer on Tuesday night at a gala dinner in the nearby Amber Springs Hotel in Gorey, Co Wexford.

Topping the night’s transactions last November, when sold by Sophie Richards with the now dropped prefix of Gurtera, the tall Mattie Clover won a BE100 on his debut in Britain in mid-March under Nicola Wilson who previously campaigned his full-brother, Annie Clover (CCI4*). The 2012 Newmarket Clover gelding didn’t re-appear until the last day of August when he was placed on the first of three novice runs, jumping double clear, as he did when placed on his final start last month.
