KATIE O’Sullivan landed her second win of the day in a well-supported EI100 class of 35 runners. Posting a double clear round, and edging past her fellow Cooley rider and dressage leader Beth Burton in the show jumping, O’Sullivan partnered the former show jumper HHS Monte Carlo. The well related son of Heritage Fortunas was sourced from his breeder Marion Hughes just a few weeks ago, and enjoying the change of discipline, was placed second on his debut event appearance at Ballindenisk the previous weekend.

“He’s a beast!” Declared the rider of the six-year-old. “He just loves it. He’s brilliant and I may be pushing it because he’s so easy and will most likely be sold – but he’s one that I would love to keep to run on for the season!” The well-related grey is a half-sibling to several graded horses, including the British-based CCI3* event horse HHS Williamstown.
