JOSEPH O’Brien and Wayne Lordan stole the show on the opening night of Irish Derby Weekend as they enjoyed a treble apiece and the pair combined to land the featured TRM Fillies Handicap with Music To My Ears.

After winning on the J.P. McManus-owned filly at Dundalk last winter, Lordan was back aboard the daughter of Australia and he gave her a canny waiting ride. For much of the race Music To My Ears looked on from off the pace and the rider was at pains not to challenge too early with the result that she only started to raise her effort in earnest nearing the furlong pole.
