JUST five days after a bold showing in the exalted surrounds of the Galway Plate the classy and versatile Pravalaguna took advantage of a gilt edged opportunity in the Joe Walsh Memorial Hurdle over three miles.

After running well for a long way in the Plate before eventually having to settle for seventh, the Willie Mullins-trained and Paul Townend-ridden mare was found an easy opening for her switch back to hurdles. A rating 142 and the conditions of this race, which meant that she was getting over a stone from several lower rated rivals, made the Bruton Street VI-owned mare impossible to oppose.
