CONTINUING a very busy few weeks at the Cavan Equestrian centre, a two-day sale of young sport horse stock and Irish Draughts is due to commence on Tuesday. Both renewals are a little lighter in number this year, most notably in the Irish Draught divison whose catalogue is halved in quantity from that of 12 months ago.

The youngstock pedigrees are strong in general, but most notably so in the sector of 25 ‘Elite’ foals. The bloodlines for these foals are almost exclusively continental, and the standout sires overall are Sligo Candy Boy (5) and Carrick Quidam de Revel (5).
