KANTURK’s Bryan Carver landed a double last Sunday at Wadebridge which he initiated in the eight-runner men’s open on the John Heard-trained Navanman on whom he also won at Buckfastleigh on the opening day of the season.

The 5/4 favourite scored by two lengths from another Buckfastleigh winner in Broadclyst whose owner, Sue Trump, won the restricted with the Carver-partnered Raddon Top, a five-year-old Getaway gelding trained by Leslie Jefford.
