NOT to be entirely outdone, Nicky Henderson landed the Grade 2 Unibet Elite Hurdle with the mare Verdana Blue, who travelled well for Jerry McGrath and led at the last before pulling away to beat Harry Fry’s If The Cap Fits by just over two lengths.

Henderson was also responsible for 7/4 favourite We Have A Dream, hitherto unbeaten in five outings in Britain following his arrival from France. He led until between the last two flights and will improve for this.
