Online auction house ThoroughBid are marking five years in operation by extending their popular Point2Rules Bonus, as well as offering a £5,000 incentive at their Online Yearling Sale on Friday, November 27th.

The Point2Rules Bonus, in its original guise, saw the connections receive £5,000 if their recruit won on rules debut (Class 4 or above bumper, hurdle or chase races, and from the October Sale (October 23rd) onwards, those who consigned the winner will also receive £5,000.

The Yearling Bonus, available for horses sold at November’s Online Yearling Sale, will offer £2,500 to both consignor and purchaser of graduates that go onto win on debut at the ages of two or three (flat race, Class 4 or above).

Since ThoroughBid’s first sale in September 2021, the online platform has been a source of graded winners over jumps and on the flat, with notable graduates including Belfast Banter, Maskada, Its On The Line, Thunderbear, Englemere, Gracchus De Balme, Grandero Bello and Desertmore House.

Last year, Midem De Berce became the highest priced British pointer sold online when selling for £77,500 to Tom Malone.

Risk-free

Alongside its bonus incentive and speedy seven-day payment for consignors, ThoroughBid will continue to offer risk-free consignment, where entry fees only apply to horses that sell, while a 5% agent’s commission is also paid out by ThoroughBid on lots making £50,000 or more.
