Tattersalls Online is set to offer five two-year-olds who took part in the ITM Irish EBF Barrier Trials at Leopardstown Racecourse last week. Bidding will open from 12pm on Wednesday, September 3rd and close from 12pm on Thursday, September 4th.
Three of the five juveniles hail from the Co Kildare yard of Diego Dias, who consigns on behalf of Star Bloodstock. Starspangledbanner colt Noelan Star made a smart impression when making most of the running of six furlongs and ran on well to score by half a length, with another five lengths back to the third. The 45,000gns yearling is bred to improve with time, as he hails from the German family of Noroit.
Stablemate Kenough also produced a professional performance, leading from an early stage and quickening in the straight to lead by two lengths on the line. The Kendargent gelding is a full-brother to two listed winners, one of which also placed at group level.
Dias’ first offering is the Ardad filly Chronata, who shares her page with Best Terms, Cursory Glance and Time Charter. Out of a 91-rated mare, she finished sixth in the six-furlong barrier trial.
Jack Foley offers Girl Bear following her promising second-placed effort over six furlongs. The Kodi Bear filly was pushed out to get within half a length of the winner on the line. A half-sister to two horses rated over 80, the bay is out of a half-sister to Group 1 miler Aljamaheer.
The Sheila Lavery-trained Sagasti caught the eye when running on to finish fourth in the same barrier trial. From the first crop of Supremacy, the chesnut is out of a half-sister to James Garfield and to the dam of Wimbledon Hawkeye.
