THE team that bought Put The Kettle On for £380,000 last month struck again this week when paying €230,000 for a four-year-old French hurdler.

Anthony Bromley of Highflyer Bloodstock was acting on behalf of owner-breeder Simon Davies when he spent €230,000 on Wednesday evening for Royale Margaux. The daughter of Doctor Dino has won five races included a listed hurdle race at Compiegne

The sale went through the Auctav online platform and represented a record price for the company.

Royale Margaux is from the family of high-class chaser Royale Pagaille and Grade 1 winner Roll On Has.

Bromley told The Irish Field: “I bought her for Simon Davies, who stands Planteur and Bangkok at his Chapel Stud in Britain. The filly will stay in France with David Cottin for the time being.”
