The three-year-old colt Delius eclipsed the record for the highest priced lot ever sold at the Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale when selling for 1.3 million guineas on Tuesday.
Trained by Jean-Claude Rouget for the Coolmore partners, Delius is a son of Frankel who was unraced as a two-year-old and ran six times this year. He won his first three starts, including a Group 3 race, before starting favourite for the Group 1 Grand Prix de Paris, in which he finished third.
