In the absence of owner Caroline Bjoerk, the Melanie Young-ridden Ard Cluedo repeated his Dollanstown win in the five-year-old section and, on 13 points, the Luidam gelding now lies second in the league behind Niamh Tottenham’s Fortmoy Cushla (14).

Bjoerk’s chestnut, who was bred by Richard and Heather Wright out of a Clover Hill mare, topped Damian McCormack’s judging of the ridden display (150) and, as is not always the case, also took the highest marks (30) of the flat work suitability and potential judge, Yvonne Monahan.
