WEATHER conditions were far from pleasant at Sunday’s United Foxhounds meeting at Ballindenisk with heavy rainfall and high winds, but 18-year-old Emma Nagle will certainly treasure fond memories of the occasion for she partnered her very first winner aboard her father T.J. Nagle Jr’s The Bishop Looney in the Loftus Flooring Limited novice riders open.

The Bishop Looney (4/1), a former six-time track winner who landed the 2011 renewal of the Cork Grand National, finished a creditable third on his points debut at Dromahane last month and the bay always took the eye towards the rear as former Thyestes Chase runner-up Tullintain took the six participants along.
