THE final Cork and Waterford meeting of this truncated campaign took place at Ballindenisk on Sunday and 22-year-old Shane Baragry, who plans to turn professional over the summer, was the only rider to leave the United Foxhounds fixture with a double. He kicked off his sequence aboard newcomer Bolintlea in the first division of the five-year-old and upwards mares’ maiden.

Bolintlea was covered up in mid-division as Carrig Wells took the field along. The winner, a daughter of Le Fou, picked up the running before the penultimate of the 12 fences and she stormed clear in the style of a progressive sort to beat Carrig Wells by 10 lengths. O Mio Babbino returned a further eight lengths adrift in third spot.
