THERE was great sport to be had at Mullingar Equestrian Centre last Sunday when the Fagan family hosted the first TRI Equestrian Interschools of the season. All classes had very good entries, showing a very enthusiastic level of support for the long-awaited return of equestrian interschools competitions.

The action started in the international arena with the inaugural Primary School Individual league competition. A fine performance from St Kenny’s NS pupil, Willow Gavin riding Jagger, ensured the win with Whitehall NS representative, Caoimhe Murphy on Little Bob taking second place and Scoil Mhuire Carlanstown’s Zara Cogan riding Myries Dream in third. The remaining league points went to Noah O’Brien, Jack Derwin and Sinead McGrath.
