AN enormous total of 1,440 lots has been entered for Goffs’ November Sale at Kill in Co Kildare and, because this is four more than last year, they will again be selling for six days. There is no shortage of well-bred horses in the two catalogues, the first containing 990 foals, scheduled to be offered on the four days from Monday to Thursday, November 17th to 20th, starting at 12 noon on the first day, then at 11am on the other three days. The breeding stock catalogue contains details of 450 broodmares and fillies entered on the Friday and Saturday, November 21st and 22nd, with selling commencing at 10am on those two days.

The highlight of the first four days devoted to the foals will undoubtedly be the six foals by Frankel but there are several other well-known stallions who will have some of their first crop of foals in the sale ring at Kill including such exciting newcomers as Group 1 heroes Casamento, Excelebration, Nathaniel and Power.

The broodmares on Friday and Saturday have some notable covering sires, which include Canford Cliffs, Cape Cross, Dark Angel, Invincible Spirit, Mastercraftsman, New Approach, Pour Moi, Raven’s Pass, Shamardal and Teofilo.
