CLAIRE Liddle only evented twice in 2018, winning an EI90 Amateur class at Kircubbin in May and placing second in similar company at Ballyvannon in September, all because of the performance Irish Draught championship at the Dublin Horse Show.

“I said I wouldn’t become like that but, once I’d Ballytrim Molly qualified for the RDS, I got very precious of her!” said Claire who lives in the Ballyhackamore area of East Belfast but keeps her Ballytrim Midnight Dancer mare at the Newtownards home of her parents, John and Moyra. There you can also find her retired eventers Skew-Whiff III and Davy’s Lad and another horse who did very little but is also enjoying a pampered retirement in Co Down.
