Aidan O’Brien had to wait until the final Group 1 of Arc weekend to strike but his old faithful True Love came up trumps in the Qatar Prix de la Foret at ParisLongchamp on Sunday.

Tough as teak as a juvenile when she had seven runs highlighted with a win in the Cheveley Park, she emerged this spring better than ever, winning the 1000 Guineas.
Placed in three further Group 1s after that, she had appeared on the downgrade having been out of the places in her last two races, but back down at seven furlongs she showed her tenacity to see off Christopher Head’s Nighttime in a photo finish.
O’Brien’s Puerto Rico ran his best race of the season back in third.
