THE final leg of the 2018 Eventing Nations Cup series takes place this weekend in Boekelo, The Netherlands. The Irish team consists of Brian Morrison with Milchem JJ, Meabh Bolger with Killossery Athletic Touch, Sarah Ennis with Woodcourt Garrison and Sam Watson with Tullabeg Flamenco.
A total of eight Irish combinations are competing at the CCI3* event. Dutch rider Tim Lips and Bayro are leading after dressage on a score of 19.2. Julia Krajewski and Laura Collett fill second and third place on 22.60 and 23.10 respectively.
Declan Cullen and the nine-year-old Seavaghan Ash are the highest placed Irish combination in 32nd place on 32.20.
Germany is currently in the lead in the team standings on 80.0, with Britain just behind 80.8. Ireland are in seventh place in the team standings.
Ireland have competed in two legs of the Nations Cup finishing third in each. This leaves them in seventh place over the overall league leader board which leaves them just above the halfway point out of 16 teams.
France are currently top of the league on 490 points. They are closely followed by Britain on 480 and Sweden are in third on 335.
All three nations are represented by strong teams at Boekelo so it will be all to play for with less than 30 penalties dividing the entire field.
