One misfortunate driver had a pretty major error of course at the Irish Pony Club one-day event at Grove in Co Tipperary on Sunday. The driver, who shall remain nameless, unwittingly took on a drop and coffin on the cross-country course.

A team of helpers, directed by course builder Peter Ponsonby was called in to rescue the car.

A tractor was needed to help with the recovery - as well as a team of Pony Cub dads.

An improvised set of tracks was placed under the car's wheels.

And the car was safely removed from its precarious position, to the cheers of all involved!
