IRISH eyes were shining at Tryon International as Kilkenny’s Richie Moloney shared the runner-up spot in the $73,000 Cleghorn Golf & Sports Club Grand Prix CSI2* at the South Carolina venue. Moloney and Coco Beach, a 2012 Holsteiner mare (Casall x Miss Marpel), owned by Equinimity LLC, and Victoria Heurtematte (PAN) and her own 11-year-old Warmblood stallion Flying Dutchman 0/0/39.02, (Quasimodo Van De Molendreef x Burggraff), both stopped the clock in 0/0/39.02 seconds to share the runner-up spot.

Taking victory was Kayla Savard (USA) and Bogota Nantuel, clear in 36.653. Forty-one horse and rider combinations took on the Andy Christiansen (ECU)-designed course with 13 pairs booking their place in the jump-off.

Savard and her 2011 Selle Français mare (Dollar Dela Pierre x Carnute) conquered the shortened course, going in with a third place standing and jumping to a first place win.
