Hagen Grand Prix
CORK’s Billy Twomey took a sixth place in the €75,000 1.60m Grand Prix at four-star Hagen in Germany aboard Kim Barzilay’s chesnut mare Lizziemary.
Castlefield Eclipse places 11th
TAKING 11th place in the Hagen CSI**** Grand Prix was the Irish-bred Castlefield Eclipse, ridden by Switzerland’s Paul Estermann. The 13-year-old bay mare by OBOS Quality out of Furisto Clover Hill (ISH) by Furisto (HANN) was bred by Co Clare’s Pat Nihill and is owned by Fasana Jocelyne.
Lynch places
IN China, Tipperary’s Denis Lynch flew the tricolour when finishing in fifth place with Wavanta in the Beijing World Cup Grand Prix.
Simply Cruise wins in Drammen
THE Irish Sport Horse Simply Cruise (by OBOS Quality OO4 out of Cappagh Cruise (ISH)) won the €7,900 1.30m two-phase class with Norwegian rider Cornelia Emilie Kasin at Drammen CSI**, Norway.
The seven-year-old mare was bred by Co Wexford’s Michael Condon and is owned by Taylor Vard and the Kasin family.
