ON Sunday, first in were 47 combinations to contest the 1.10m championship at Mullingar Equestrian. Leinster’s Isabelle Boland took this title, delivering a clear with Boleybawn Reverie (29.26). This six-year-old mare was bred by Ronan Rothwell and is by Brunetti 6 and out of the Luidam-sired dam, Boleybawn Hannah.
Charlotte Butler and Kingston King were back in the ribbons, when clear in 29.71 for second place. Conor Brennan and the six-year-old MHS Zenyatta took third, coming home with nothing to add in 30.24.
A clear from Isabel Broderick with the seven-year-old Valentina saw them take fourth place (32.05). Fifth place belonged to Juliana Duffy and Sylene Van Twelve Oaks with a faultless performance in 32.44. Completing the top six was Natasha Foley and Ironman A (33.24).

Wicklow’s Cian Byrne took another win when claiming the 1m Championship. Riding Sandra Duffy/ Ireland Horse Sport and Leisure’s China Man, he was fastest of four double clears in 29.09 and took home the winner’s share of the €1,000 prize pool on offer. Byrne was chased home by fellow Leinster rider, Rebecca Lawler aboard Jennifer Brooks’ Rathfarnum Anarchy (33.18).
Lexi Treacy was less than a second behind with Up in the Air VD, in 33.40 for eventual fourth. Mia Murphy also featured in this line-up, taking fourth with Valerie O’Reilly’s Enniskerry Pierro (34.08). Charlotte O’Broin and LBF Riverfield Luxardo were fastest of the four-faulters in 35.86 for fifth place, while Caoimhe Spacey and FWS Run Of the River placed sixth (four faults in 41.85).

Munster’s Brid Ryan has been making her presence felt in the Mervue Equine Leinster Tour and she added to her impressive record when claiming the 1.20m Championship. Riding Drombane Foxy Lady, she took the title when fastest of seven double clears in 28.66. Owned by Eugene Ryan, the 14-year-old mare is by Drombane Cruising and out of the Touchdown-sired dam, Julias Touchdown. Leinster riders filled the next five placings. Robbie Sheehan on Fubalia were runners-up, coming home fractions behind in 29.12. Ella Kenny and Ragazza Di Flamenco took third (29.59), while Emily Moloney added to her record when piloting Cruising on the Ridge into fourth, stopping the clock in 29.83. Conor Brennan and MHS Zenyatta returned to the line-up to take fifth (30.97), ahead of Eoghan McGrath and Larcata Wi Ro Z (33.07).

It was a good day at the office for Wexford’s Isabelle Boland, who claimed another title. This time riding the eight-year-old MBF Maxwill, she was fastest of six double clears in a time of 30.75. Owned by Fiona Boland, the eight-year-old gelding is a Dutch-bred by Do Spiritivo and out of Kloxiana. Boland’s closest rival was James Derwin on the eight-year-old Amos L Z in 30.89. Ruby Lily Gaines also added more points to her tally when she partnered Castle Lux Clover to a clear in 31.54. Billy Sinnott was back in the line-up with Ridge Douglas Lady, stopping the clock in 31.70 for eventual fourth. Jack Murphy and the six-year-old Momo Va clocked 34.18 for fifth place; Munster rider Calum Harte and Inuk Do Casal completed the line-up, crossing the beam in 35.92.
