WITH education of the equestrian public in mind, KR Equine Veterinary Services held a client information evening, in conjunction with CMC Physio and Glebe Equine, at The Rabbit Hotel, Templepatrick on Wednesday evening last, with over 80 guests in attendance.

The topic, ‘A Holistic Approach to Lameness and Poor Performance’, is something that affects most horse owners at some point and the presentation by Chris Akkari of KR Equine gave insight into identifying lameness and potential causes, as well as mentioning gastric ulcers, which can lead to performance issues.

Clare Maria Campbell of CMC Physio spoke of treatment methods she employs with both horses and people, while Ella Boyle of Glebe Equine described the various options offered there for equine rehabilitation and fitness.

It was a popular event, with places all filled and a waiting list in operation.

Those who missed out on what was an informative evening will be glad to know that another information evening is planned for the near future with details to follow.
