THE friendly rivalry at EI110 (Amateur) level between Britt Megahey and Nichola Wray lost much of its intensity last weekend as they went their separate - successful - ways.
Here, despite the addition of 21.2 show jumping penalties (9.2 of those for time), Megahey comfortably saw off two rivals to win on board the Irish Sport Horse gelding R Showman (50.7), his 10-year-old son of Centre Stage.
There was also just a trio of runners in the EI110 (J) where Eimear Donaghy followed up her win here earlier in the month when completing on her dressage score (33.8) with her father James’s ISH mare TMS Freedom, a seven-year-old by Je t’Aime Flamenco.
Maya Constable brought up a quick-fire four-timer at EI100 (P) level on her mother Kim’s Irish Sport Pony Rockon Pedro (23.8), a 14-year-old grey by Newtown Pedro, while Anne Killeen had little difficulty in winning the EI90 (Amateur) on her Irish Draught gelding Penanns Mourne Silver (42.5), a tall nine-year-old by Ballamont.
Annie Davis had two rides in the seven-strong EI90 (P) where she completed on her winning dressage score (27 penalties) with her mother Mandy’s ISH gelding AJ Lightening Cavalier, a seven-year-old bay by the Connemara stallion Lightening Star.
