ON a recent trip to the sales in Newmarket, The Irish Field’s editor Leo Powell met Doug Wade, editor of the European Morgan Horse Magazine.

An avid devotee of the Morgan, Doug is keen to find out if any of the breed have made it to Ireland.

Morgans were introduced into Britain in 1975 and they have a loyal and growing group of fans. The British Morgan Horse Society host about a dozen events each year and they would welcome Irish interest in these days.
