2.25 LUKE AND NELLIE COMER MEMORIAL HANDICAP 6F

Tylery Wonder has run a number of his best races over this course and distance and, despite having a less than ideal low draw, he gets the vote. He is the just 5lb higher than when scoring here last September and his other form at the Curragh last autumn includes an excellent third to Nero Emperor in a premier handicap. He comes here off a respectable third to Lady Mega at Tipperary earlier in the month. Oor Jock is looking for his fourth victory of the campaign. Two of those wins came over 6f and he defeated Chillie Billie by 2l over this trip at Leopardstown last week. He looks to have a leading chance and has the benefit of a stands’ side rail draw. In Salutem finished just in front of the selection at Tipperary and followed that with a good third to Maremmadiavola at Dundalk last week.

Selection: TYLERY WONDER

Next best: Oor Jock

2.55 KILFRUSH STUD ROYAL WHIP STAKES (GROUP 3) 1M 2F

He has been sparingly campaigned since his 2012 Racing Post Trophy success and this is his first outing since he was beaten at odds-on in the Heritage Stakes at Leopardstown in April but a chance is taken on Kingsbarns. The former Group 1 winner is the top rated runner in the race and he gets 3lb from the penalised Parish Hall, while it should be remembered that only two runs ago he finished a fine third to Olympic Glory in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot. This trip is something of an unknown for him while it is ideal for Parish Hall who enjoys the demands posed by the course and distance. Last time out Parish Hall gained a deserved success at this level when defeating Afternoon Sunlight in the Meld Stakes. Edelmira won a 1m 4f group 3 at Cork last time and both her wins to date have come on yielding to soft so she may need the ground to ease to be at her best.

Selection: KINGSBARNS

Next best: Parish Hall

3.30 DEBUTANTE STAKES (GROUP 2) 7F

Qualify has progressed well with each start to date and she might be good enough to succeed. Following her pleasing debut behind Words, the daughter of Fastnet Rock ran well to be beaten less than 2l into third by Jack Naylor in the Group 3 Silver Flash Stakes and she ran out an impressive 5l winner of a Dundalk maiden over this trip last week. Beach Belle lost her unbeaten record in the Phoenix Stakes two weeks ago when beaten just over 2½l. She still ran respectably against three decent colts in that Group 1 and if finding this trip within her reach she has a chance. Lucida is another to consider having looked good when she made a winning debut in a 6f Naas conditions race three weeks ago. English raider Tigrilla won a 7f Deauville listed race in good style earlier this month. She seemed to step forward for the switch to a longer trip.

Selection: QUALIFY

Next best: Beach Belle

4.05 GALILEO EBF FUTURITY STAKES (GROUP 2) 7F

The promising Gleneagles should be able to add this race to his Tyros Stakes triumph. On his debut the Galileo colt was fourth to Convergence at Leopardstown and he followed that with a maiden success on Derby weekend before turning around earlier form with Convergence in the Tyros. In winning the Tyros Gleneagles had just under 1l to spare over the very likeable Convergence who was then an emphatic 5l winner of a Tipperary listed race earlier this month. Jim Bolger sends out two promising maiden winners in Parish Boy and Hall Of Fame with Kevin Manning on board the former. Parish Boy is looking to build on a victory at Naas where he was ¾l too strong for Order Of St George who then franked the form with a wide margin triumph in a Leopardstown maiden last week.

Selection: GLENEAGLES

Next best: Convergence

4.40 PALMERSTOWN HOUSE ESTATE IRISH ST LEGER TRIAL STAKES (GROUP 3) 1M 6F

Leading Light is the choice as he makes his first appearance since winning the Ascot Gold Cup. Last year’s English St Leger hero has developed into a top drawer stayer this term and the form of both his starts this year makes for good reading. He was too strong for Royal Diamond and Pale Mimosa in the Vintage Crop Stakes on his return to action in May and he then edged a titanic battle for victory at Ascot to see off Estimate and Missunited. The penalised four-year-old might just need this first run for two months but he is still the one to beat. Royal Diamond finished down the field at Ascot and is running for the first time since then. He won this race last year and this course and distance suits him well. An interesting runner is Streetcar To Stars who was a 2½l third to Eye Of The Storm in the Ballyroan Stakes earlier in the month. There is more to come from Streetcar To Stars and the step up to this trip could certainly work in his favour.

Selection: LEADING LIGHT

Next best: Streetcar To Stars

5.10 MONGEY COMMUNICATIONS HANDICAP 2M

A speculative vote goes to Benkei who shaped up well on his first try at this trip at Galway last month. The Galileo gelding had already posted some reasonable efforts in defeat before Galway where he finished out his race in good style to be beaten just 1l into third by Hidden Universe. A repeat performance should enable him to get closely involved and he is just preferred to Grecian Tiger who also ran a fine race in defeat at Galway to chase home Quick Jack in the valuable amateurs’ handicap on the opening night of the meeting. Giant’s Quest enjoys quick ground and he too must have a major chance if the Curragh escapes the forecast rain. Last year’s Irish Cesarewtich sixth is only 4lbs higher than when scoring over 2m at Dundalk last month.

Selection: BENKEI

Next best: Grecian Tiger

5.40 IRISH CHAMPIONS WEEKEND MAIDEN 1M 2F

Adjusted was a disappointment when last seen in action in April when he started 11/10 favourite for a maiden over this course and distance in which he was beaten almost 4l into third by Sinkal. Before that he had begun his season with a good 1l second to Fascinating Rock in a Leopardstown maiden and the latter certainly franked the form in the weeks that followed. Adjusted now returns from 134 days off the track and he is fitted with blinkers and possibly he might carry the day from First Sitting who came home well to finish a ¾l second to Illusive in a 1m 1f maiden at Leopardstown earlier in the month. No Wunder was a somewhat unlucky loser over this course and distance last month and he too has a chance while Nectar De Rose is an interesting newcomer. She has held some decent entries during the year and is engaged in a 1m 1f Group 3 here next weekend.

Selection: ADJUSTED

Next best: First Sitting
