The 2008 Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Denman is one of the most prolific point-to-point graduates of the last 15 years having won his maiden at Liscarroll in 2005. The Denman family name again returned to the winner’s enclosure between the flags just five days shy of the 12 year anniversary of his debut points’ success.
Some Man is the seventh foal out of his Presenting-sired dam, a full-sister to Paul Nicholls’ dual Hennessy Gold Cup winner and the Grade 1 novice chase-winning Silverburn. Although his dam is unraced, she has certainly passed the family’s ability through to her progeny, as she has also produced the four-time listed winning mare Polly Peachum, a half-sister to Some Man. Since Some Man was purchased by the Monbeg Stables for €36,000 at the Land Rover Sale, a colt foal of Miss Denman’s, a full-brother to Polly Peachum, realised €42,000 in the sales ring.

A €6,000 purchase as a three-year-old at the Derby Sale, the Pierce Molony-bred Be My Oscar is the eighth foal which his unraced dam Be My Gypsy has produced. Gypsy Bob, her half-brother by Bob’s Return, is her sole other sibling to make it to the track, running five times without success in Britain. Since producing Be My Oscar, her Be My Native dam, who is full-sister to a dual track winner in The Young Bishop, has also produced a two-year-old colt by Court Cave.

4yo b g Dubai Destination - Bobbies Storm (Bob Back)
Bred by Noreen Hayes, Knight In Dubai is out of the well-related Bobbies Storm who ran three times on the track for Hayes before retiring to the paddocks. That Bob Back mare is an own-sister to the 2003 Supreme Novices’ Hurdle winner Back In Front and a half-sister to the J.P. McManus-owned Another Hero, who picked-up further blacktype for the family when placing in the Listed SkyBet Chase at Doncaster earlier this year.
Knight In Dubai is the sixth horse she has produced, with Abbey Storm, who won a maiden at Rathcannon for Paul Cashman before being sold for £90,000 at the Cheltenham sales, the pick to date.

The Mahler-sired New Quay was partnered to success by Derek O’Connor, who had purchased him as a three-year-old for €14,000 at the Land Rover Sale.
The bay gelding is the second foal which his dam Beg La Eile has produced. That Lahib mare was a Stradbally points’ victor and the winner of a maiden hurdle at Navan. Her first produce, an own-sister to New Quay, made her competitive debut in a mares’ maiden at Tallow for Roger McGrath in February. New Quay is also a half-brother to a two-year-old filly by Sholokhov.

Kupatana was a well sourced inexpensive purchase on the evidence of her debut success, as she was acquired by her handler Aidan Fitzgerald at his neighbouring Goresbridge Mixed Thoroughbred Sale last July for just €1,700.
The daughter of Westerner is the second foal that her unraced Anshan dam has produced. Kildea Cailin is a half-sister to Thurles maiden hurdle winner Good Thyne Diva, and she also has a three-year-old colt and two-year-old colt, both by Westerner and own-brothers to Kupatana.

MADISON TO MONROE (IRE)
4yo ro g Presenting - Caltra Princess (Traditionally)
Completing a clean sweep for Irish-breds in each of the six four-year-old maidens run last weekend, this Presenting gelding has a dual-purpose pedigree behind him. His Traditionally-sired dam Caltra Princess is a winner under both codes - an apprentice handicap winner on the level over one-mile, one-furlong and a handicap hurdle winner at Sligo over two miles, four furlongs.
Madison To Monroe was her third foal, with her first foal, Westend Prince, getting off the mark at Fontwell last summer. She also has a three-year-old filly by Beat Hollow and a two-year-old Shirocco filly.
