LUCIDA (37) has a horrible run when losing the Moyglare Stakes narrowly. The jockey on fourth-placed Malabar seemed intent on keeping her boxed in and bumped her five times from the two furlong pole.
Eventually Lucida got out and closed strongly on the winner, showing a smart turn of foot, but her run fell short.
This run, in a strongly-run seven-furlong contest, tells me Lucida should have no trouble staying a mile.
I’d like to see her take up her entry in the Fillies Mile. She’s a classy, athletic filly who deserves a Group 1 win and that race offers her the chance.
The winner Cursory Glance (37) had run second to the freakishly fast Tiggy Wiggy in the Lowther Stakes and is clearly a high class filly herself.
I don’t see why she shouldn’t get a mile when she returns next year.
Found (36) came from the back and gained ground down the outside all the way up the straight
Despite wandering both left and right due to being isolated. She looks a decent prospect for both Guineas and Oaks next year for Coolmore.
