The end of an era… Galileo 1998-2021, Thank you to all our team at Coolmore and Ballydoyle for this incredible journey. The horse of a lifetime… #Perfection #Specialmemories #Galileo

Very sad news from @coolmorestudb about the passing of GALILEO.

The greatest of all times - his legacy will live on in his progeny. Rest in Peace, Champion.

RIP Galileo. We were so fortunate to be able to breed to such a magnificent stallion. Such a sad day.

The amount of people that are able to post pictures on here with Galileo just goes to show what an extraordinary influence he was.

Andrew Cooper@ACooperClerk

Galileo. Brilliant Derby winner @EpsomRacecourse in 2001 and the most wonderful stallion since. His light has shone on the Derby for twenty years. What a legacy. Thank you, and sleep well.

The great Galileo, he will forever be remembered in racing history - Thinking of all those who took care of him. Remembering a special visit to @coolmorestud in 2016 with Tony Coyle, Thank you Herb.

Anne-Louise Echevin Horse racing@annelouechevin

I remember walking in the stallions yard at Coolmore, seing his head popping up and thinking “wow, it’s him”. It was a lot of emotion and he was a real gentleman. Goodbye Galileo.

Bronwen Healy@FamousPony46

Vale GALILEO. If ever a horse deserved the Tolkienesque phrase, ‘He is the Lord of all Horses’ it was him. He drew affection, awe and admiration from all corners of the globe. He leaves an enduring and incredible legacy. I am eternally grateful for the chance to work with him.

Very enjoyable day @KillarneyRaces Was great to be back out there and meet some of the people we’ve missed over the past while. Thanks to all who had a bet, and to those with a welcoming word it was much appreciated.

John Greene@johnjgreene

Seems the only place in Galway that won’t be packed for the Galway Races will be the racecourse.

Nick Mitchell@NickMitchell69

Thank you all for the kind messages re The Listener. Been revisiting memories all day. Jeez we had some fun. I’m sure he’s teaching Galileo how to wing an open ditch as I write this.

Brian Keenan@keenan_brian

Bitterly disappointing news that @Galway_Races crowd limited to 1k. The city will be heaving and the vast racecourse will be empty.

Patrick Mulcahy@PaMulSport

18,000 at Leinster football semi finals and Connacht final in Croker (in a stadium), but yet only 1,000 at the outdoor Galway Races. I am all for Health & Safety & protecting people but this is a daft decision!
