ONE Irish win at Aintree was that of Faith Amond.

Surely a contender for the title of Ireland’s most stylish racegoer, Faith left Liverpool last week the owner of a brand new £35,000 Range Rover Evoque and a range of other prizes.

The Carlow woman won the #FabulousFriday Style Award in a pink and red two-piece suit that the judges described as a ‘classic, well put-together outfit’ that oozed ‘style and taste’.

Faith skipped Cheltenham and focused on Aintree, a strategy that paid dividends. Faith’s son Ian is based with Gordon Elliott, while Niall is with Jessica Harrington. Faith was chosen by the judges from a final line-up of 10 elegant ladies. The judges included Olympic gold medallist Sam Quek, soprano Laura Wright (who performed the national anthem ahead of the Grand National), hair stylist Andrea Daley and fashion designers Philip Armstrong and Tony Burke.

Well done Faith.
