ONLINE sports betting operator MansionBet this week announced they will expand their current horse racing sponsorships into Ireland for 2020 with Horse Racing Ireland (HRI).
The Gibraltar-based operator issued details of 55 meetings at which they are sponsoring in 2020 and five Irish racecourses will benefit from their support. The first of these is at Cork today where four of the seven races will include their name. They are the Happy New Year From MansionBet Novice Hurdle, the MansionBet Faller Insurance Maiden Hurdle, the Best Odds Guaranteed at MansionBet Beginners Chase and the MansionBet Proud to Support Irish Racing Handicap Chase.
The announcement comes after MansionBet’s successful partnership with Arena Racing Company (ARC) and The Jockey Club throughout 2019, which saw their branding across a number of British racecourses.
Since obtaining their Irish betting licence in May of last year, this will be the first move onto Irish soil for the sportsbook, who have previously stated that they are looking to expand their brand awareness through a number of sponsorships within Ireland.
The Cork sponsorship today will be followed by Fairyhouse on February 5th, while on the weekend of March 7th and 8th the company will be sponsoring at Gowran Park and Naas. The Co Kilkenny track will benefit from MansionBet’s largesse on five dates in 2020 (also on April 8th, May 27th, August 12th and September 2nd), while Tipperery is the other course to secure their sponsorship, on April 23rd and June 2nd and 25th.
Dana Bocker, head of integrated marketing at the Mansion Group commented: “We’re excited to continue our support for British racing and proud to add Irish racing to our portfolio. Racing has been a focus for us in 2019. In addition to the sponsorships, we’ve improved our product offering and as result have seen a surge in racing punters in both the UK and Ireland.”
Brian Kavanagh, CEO of Horse Racing Ireland, added: “HRI is delighted to welcome MansionBet as a new sponsor to Irish racing in 2020. The initial deal is spread across five racecourses and demonstrates the good value that Irish racing represents to our sponsor partners.”
David Leyden Dunbar, ARC’s group director of partnerships, said: “After an extremely successful year working with MansionBet in 2019 across several of our courses, we’re thrilled to strengthen and build on this relationship as we prepare to enter 2020.”
Amy Starkey, regional director of Jockey Club Racecourses – East Region, said: “I am delighted that MansionBet’s sponsorship portfolio in the Jockey Club’s East Region will be expanding to include Newmarket racecourses for the forthcoming season. With another year of outstanding racing and entertainment in store at the home of horseracing here, as well as at Market Rasen, Huntingdon and Nottingham, 2020 looks set to be an exciting year for our region. We look forward to sharing it with MansionBet.”
