A visit to Listowel on Wednesday means that I have now visited all but one of the Irish racecourses in 2017 – and on a day of racing. It is just left for a trip to Tipp and a visit to Thurles on October 12th to complete this wonderful odyssey. The crowds flocked to the races on Wednesday and I was delighted to be one of them.

The day started with a visit to the hub of Healy Racing, and it was a day after the family remembered Liam at the races, a little over a year after his death. Great to meet Cathy and Lisa and the wider team, before I headed to the races. There I had a chance to speak on TG4 with Mick O hUallachain, always a feature of my trips in Harvest week to Listowel.
