Thanks to Coolmore Stud

Sir, - Through your paper I would like to pass on my most sincere thanks to Coolmore Stud, Fethard.

Last week I found myself in a difficult position when one of my pregnant mares showed the first signs of laminitis. The vet and farrier were called and I was advised to try and obtain a set of boots with gel inserts to ease the pain for her.

After trying most of the local equestrian shops and spending an hour on the telephone calling around the country none were to be found. Searching the internet I found a manufacturer in the USA who had what I was looking for. However it would take five to six days for them to arrive. The lady on the other end of the telephone told me Coolmore Stud always use the boots.

Taking a chance I phoned Coolmore and spoke to Jason Walsh and told him about my mare’s plight. Without the slightest hesitation he kindly offered to lend me a pair of boots until mine arrived.

This was a really super gesture for the mighty Coolmore to help out a small time breeder like myself.

A charming young lady met me at the security office with a bag of different sizes and within 30 minutes the boots were fitted, much to the relief of my mare.

Thank you very much Coolmore for all your kind help and all the very best in the future. – Yours, etc.,
